Featured resource ads are a way to promote your paid resources to the top of discovery pages on BuiltByBit. You set a percentage of each sale that you're willing to pay as an ad fee, and your resource gets placed into featured spots where more buyers will see it. If your featured placement doesn't lead to a sale, you pay nothing.

Beta note: These new ads are currently available in Roblox categories only.

How it works

  1. Open any paid resource in a supported category, go to the Payment tab, enable featured placement, and set your rate (minimum 3%)
  2. Your resource immediately starts appearing in featured spots across category pages, search results, and filter combinations
  3. When a buyer purchases through your featured placement, your ad fee is deducted from the sale alongside the standard platform fee. No purchases = no charge.

🚨 Featured ads don’t affect your organic ranking

Enabling or disabling featured placement has zero impact on your position in our Relevance Algorithm. Featured spots are separate from organic results, both visually and technically. The regular listings below them are ranked exactly the same way they would be without featured ads.

You should never feel pressured to advertise just to maintain your existing visibility. Featured ads give you additional exposure on top of your organic ranking, not a replacement for it.

Choosing your rate

Your rate is the percentage of each sale price that you're willing to pay as an advertising fee when a buyer purchases through your featured placement. The higher your rate, the more visibility you'll get, but you'll also pay a larger fee per sale.

When you enable featured placement, you'll see a recommended rate next to the input field. This is personalised to your specific resource and tells you what rate you'd need to set to appear in approximately 80% of eligible featured placements. You don't have to follow the recommendation, it's just a starting point to help you make an informed decision.

Our suggestion: If you're unsure where to start, try the recommended rate for a week and then check your visibility score in the dashboard. You can always adjust it up or down.
